Myth Telecourse: Frequently Asked Questions
| Q: | Do I have to attend class every Wednesday night? |
| A: | No. The televised lectures take the place of regular classroom lectures. You are responsible for watching all of the televised lectures, but you can watch them whenever you want. |
| Q: | Do I necessarily have to WATCH the televised lectures? |
| A: | Not necessarily. Written transcripts of each televised lecture can be obtained by clicking here. Audio files of each televised lecture are also in the process of being prepared. |
| Q: | What should I do when the televised lecture and the textbook contradict each other? |
| A: | Classical Mythology is not an exact science. Often, there are two (or even more) ways of explaining something. When in doubt, follow the televised lecture. As a general rule, the examinations are more keyed into the televised lectures than to the assigned textbook. |
| Q: | What is the difference between the Reading Guide and the Exam Reviews? |
| A: | The Reading Guide is intended to give you some guidance in your reading of the assigned textbook. The Exam Reviews are more keyed into the televised lectures. |
| Q: | The transcripts won't download properly. What can I do? |
| A: | The problem is most likely with your Web browser. Even if you have your browser set up to use Adobe Acrobat, this does not guarantee success. You may want to try downloading the .pdf files to your hard drive, shutting down your browser, and then using Adobe Acrobat to open them. |
| Q: | How and when can I find out my examination scores? |
| A: | The examinations are usually graded within a week or two of the exam date. The best way to find out your score is to send the instructor an E-mail requesting this information. |
| Q: | Is there a first-block version of LLT 121 Telecourse? |
